Coolant low light on...
Yes, you will dilute your coolant, so instead of freezing at -40 degrees, it might free at -25. If it's low you have a leak. Everything you put will be thrown away when the leak is fixed, so put some water in until you find the leak. But please make sure the antifreeze content after you put water in will protect your engine in your climate/low temp.

Thanks but you didn't answer my question?
What year and model? How long are you keeping the car?
For newish cars I would use Volvo coolant and distilled water after a repair. Older cars that are flushed every 30k used the green stuff. If it's a 2001 I would just use the cheaper green stuff and tap water. A 2020 v60 I would use Volvo coolant and distilled water.
