DTRL dissable S60
Maybe at the same time you can get them to disable the seat belt reminder and the airbags too. ABS brakes as well while they are at it.
All these damn commie government intrusions into our civil liberties!

you ok my man???
yeah, I know R, I speak it fluently, though a little immature for someone who owns a station wagon, don't you think? Any way, i'm not taking my car to the dealer just for that. Want to install my HID kit, but didn't want to have them on all the time. I guess I will just have to live with it.
Thanks everybody.
P.S. No hard feelings 2002v70

Non taken. Just think it is funny when someone buys a Volvo, presumably partially for its safety features, and then tries to defeat them.
Just my thoughts.
P.S. Daytime running lights workby poweringthe high beams at 60% intensity, not the low beams. Your HID's are low beams only, are they not?
Just my thoughts.

If yours work like you explain, I find it odd that Volvo would change that from car to car. Besides, aren't high beams ateye level to the oncoming traffic. Even @ 60% intensity as you suggest, it would still blind the driver, or at the very least be very annoying to them.
I don't know what to tell you.
Actually my V70 is set up to have all lights on all the time no matter what setting the switch is in. I think there are different options for this that can be set by the dealer with the VADIS diagnostic tool.
All my other cars have the DRL's like I described, 60 % intensity high beams. I have an '04 Toyota Sienna and '95 Mustang. Even my '90 Dodge Caravan and '94 Nissan Altima were like this. (Yes, in Canada we have had DRL's mandatory since 1990).
