My 2002 S60 Hit 160K the other day and figured it was time to get the suspension checked out..
After bringing it to volvo i needed new struts, bushings, strut seat and bushing thingy.. well after about $1600 the car drives SOOOOO much better, I thought that it was rock on before... But i forgot how tight the steering used to be and how tight it USED to hold the corners.. OMG I am in love with my car.. all mover again! ZOOM-ZOOM
If you have a fair number of miles on your car.. have the front suspension checked out.. well worth it..!!!

 

I will have Volvo check out my suspension when I have the timing belt done. I am only at 70K right now and 6 years old. I know it will need to all be done before the 160K mark, that is for sure.

 

$1600 seems $$$
