Did you replace both sides? the passenger side is the fuel pump, the driver side is a level sender. If you didn't replace the driver side level sender and it was bad, or installed it incorrectly, it will show the wrong level. Same goes with the fuel pump. You want the arrow on top of the pumps pointing straight back on both sides. You need to remove the driver side to do the pump anyways to deal with the wire and hose that connects the two. The level sender is spring loaded and needs to be installed correctly to show the fuel level properly.

What speed is your car stalling at? Is it at a certain speed or when you give it a certain amount of throttle?

i didn’t replace the level sender it was the actual pump that was replaced.
Its stalling out when i hit the gas quickly, then sometimes when it passes 4.

I’ll take it apart again and look keep you posted

I would make sure your wires are connected to the level sender on the driver side. When I did one on my 06 S60, i accidently knocked a hose loose on the fuel pump but i luckily noticed it before I put it in. Its tough to keep the level sender perpendicular when putting it back in because of fuel in the tank. Its always fun snaking the connection through from the pump to the level sender, I used a wire and tied it to the connector on the level side before I pulled the fuel pump out because it is not easy pushing it back through without it.

Did your fuel gauge work before you did the fuel pump? You can always check fuel pump functionality after your work by checking the fuel pressure with a capable scanner. Fuel pressure should be around 45PSI (310 kPa, the unit VIDA uses)

Do note that after you do the pump, there may be air in the fuel lines that will work its way to the engine on its own and can cause a sputter. It's normal, kinda like the car needing the crank a little longer after the fuel rail is removed.
