Default locking the car

hi,

i was doing some reading here but i want to make sure of what i found.

I have a 2007 S60, which is equipped with factory alarm. Is there a way to make it sound or beep or something other than flashing the lights when you lock the car with the remote ? It is very annoying having to double check the doors or "trust" that you pressed the button.

Please advice.

Thanks

Default RE: locking the car

From reading the owners manual I get the impression that getting anything other than the lights to flash is not within its design. Please, if I am wrong someone please let us know.

Has anyone tried splicing the Central Electronic Module? Namely adding a jumper from the Driver Door Module to the Horn Relay? Is this a possible workaround? Would it be safe? Looking at the a quick overview I saw that the CEM talks to both the DDM and the Horn, so is there any validity to my statement or am I way off?
