I hit a deer in my 2003 S60.Insurance replaced front bumper and an after market A/C condenser. Now the air conditioning smells like bug spray and wd 40. It has been three weeks and appears this smell is more than being new. Any suggestions how I should approach the insurance company and/or the body shop? I am going to the body shop Tuesday to pick up the small grille part that was on back order.

I would mention it to them when you go.
They might have sprayed something into the system as well and it may be stuck in the pollen filter. Or the pollen filter might be almost clogged.

 

Those smells are from the body shop's paint and chemical odour from the bodyshop... as tech say... replace the pollen filter and it may take a few weeks for the smell to dissipate...
