Default Parking brake left on during driving

hi all,
just got home and wifey said she accidently forgot to release parking brake from one store to another. 4 miles at average speed 40 mph. she smelled something funny like a burning smell and parked it outside the garage. I know there are shoes behind the rear rotors. drove and tested parking brake. everything seems fine. should I be concerned about this?

Hi all, 2001 S-60 left parking brake on while driving 40 mph at 4miles distance. smelled burning.I know there are brake shoes behind the rear rotors. let things cool down and eveything seems to work fine. should I be worried?
