Default Passenger Mirror Removal

Either my passenger mirror just burned over night or it fell off cuz the glass or something is all black. It still says objects in mirror closer than appear....but it's not hard like glass. Pretty weird but how do I replace just the glass (mirror), not the whole unit. Does that plastic rim pop off?

Dealer charging too much so just getting one of those cheap replacements off Amazon. Not sure what piece to mount it to so want to see if the glass just comes off and on easily.

Woops, it's a 2004 S60.

What year car do you have? If it says something about "objects", it's likely that glass is still on there.

2004 S60, yea it says that on there but the glass is either off or it turned black and smoky over night and looks all warped. It doesn't even feel hard like glass either, it's soft feeling. It really makes no sense to me, no idea what happened. Just wanna put the cheap stick on replacement on there but not sure if I should stick it right to this burnt looking soft piece that might be the mirror or somehow remove that and stick it to what's behind there.
