If you want a REAL cold air intake with at most 10 HP gain look at the K&N APOLLO K&N RC-5052AB - K&N Apollo Cold Air Intake Systems - Overview - SummitRacing.com

a closed, sealed intake system combine this with a redesigned intake tube and you MIGHT notice something.

I have used these things making true ram air intakes in the past. They work.

Only cut one hole in the bottom of the air box to add the tube and fasten it to the fog light grill. I don't think the 04-05 fog light grills are vented so you can cut out the vents with a shop knife like mine so the air can get to the air box. DO NOT cut any other holes in the air box.

More holes means you'll just be sucking in the hot air from the engine bay. Keeping the airbox sealed with 2 openings (the regular air duct that runs from the left side of the air box to the center grill and the tube from the bottom that runs to the fog light grill) for fresh air is the best option.

I believe that's a drain for any water that gets into the airbox. And yes, water does get in there in heavy rains. You can actually see the water spots on the inside of the air box and on the filter.

With all the talk of cold air intakes, we have very hot turbos that the aor is going to pass through so saving a few degrees on the intake is really a moot point. Get a FMIC for cool air, and the 2 openings will provide plenty of air for the turbo.

You said you're looking for 350whp, what kind of budget do you have for the car projects?

Gotcha. You can do more if you want, but one is enough to eliminate the negative pressure in the air box. Some guys have done two of those intakes with one going to each fog light grill.

A proper FMIC is night and day better then the OEM twin IC's. The twin intercoolers sounds cool but they are pretty much a joke. The main IC is sandwiched in between the AC condenser and radiator, effectively succumbing to heat soak and raising the charge air temps. The secondary IC is tiny and combined with it's 1" inlet and outlets, that almost neutralize it's usefulness all together. Pics of the twin IC setup.

well that kind of sucks for an intercooler! that thing must suck in tons of hot air.

it being so close to radiator and being behind the radiator doesnt help either!

Yes it does suck. Lol. It does so/so on cold days, worse at freeway speeds, but it's real down fall is during stop and go traffic. On a 85-90ish degree day, sitting at a stop my air intake temps were reaching in excess of 130+ degrees.
Now at a stop my intake temps are roughly 10 degrees above ambient and at 70mph, 74 ambient temp, my intake temps were between 78 and 80 degrees. SO much better then what I was seeing with the OEM twin IC's.

And the primary IC is actually in front of the radiator and behind the A/C condenser. Lulz

What ive always been told is to not use K&N air filters on a turbo charged car, they let in more dirt which wears on the turbo much faster. is this true?

I'd disagree with that advice completely. I have had a K&N filter on all my turbo and N/A cars and I have never had an issue.
The only problem I've ever heard with K&N filters have either been one off flukes that would happen to any filter company, or people using too much oil after cleaning it and it fouls up the MAF.

If you want a non oiled filter try out the Green filters that "lifeisgood" mentioned or tty the amsoil dryflo filters. I ran one of them on my S40 T5 for a while before I sold it and I really liked it.

holy cow thats like 18whp!

and 5 seconds to 60 is some fast times. 13.8 seems a bit slow for that fast 0-60.

I most definantly getting a front mount when repairs are done.

wait it says fmic/dp. does dp mean down pipe from the turbo? that alone can honestly give that kind of gain.
