please help me find a way to replace a stop lamp bulb
I'm receiving a check stop lamp message. And physically the lamp is out on the driver side rear brake light.
Now I'm A NOVICE. I'm not a mechanic , not electrician. I say this so that nobody believes there is a long history with this.
My 2002 Volvo s60 manual states All bulbs in the tail light cluster can be replaced from inside the trunk
Great
then it says The bulbs are located in two separate bulb holders, an upper and a lower. Each bulb holder has a locking pin
Ok? no further reference about locking pin Does that mean the upper holder can be released so that I can replace the stop light bulb?

Its not really a pin it's 2 tabs that you squeeze and the bulb holder comes out of the taillight . Remove the carpet from behind the lights in the trunk and you will see the two bulb holder assemblies. It's much easier than it sounds in the manual.
