power steering fluid
I have a 03 s60 turbo and my power steering a bit low. i looked in the owners manual and it says to add ATF fliud.now i thought that ATF stands for automatic transmission fliud. If thats correct than can you get the p.s fuild at any autozone, napa and advanced auto parts?

RE: power steering fluid
Dont use ATF for power steering fluid.
The newer cars take a special fluid.
Vavoline makes one that is compatible.

Get this one.
The ATF will mess the system up.

But there it is, right in the damn owners manual
My owner's manual, which bears the VIN number of my car, a 2004 S60 AWD with 2.5T, under the fluids list only "ATF".
I went to the local dealership and a factory trained service tech of 12 years said "Oh, no, we never put ATF in those cars, we use the Volvo stuff (Pentosin).
I bought my car with a known PS rack leak. I would imagine Pentosin would REALLY leak, (and at 30.00 a quart) After i replace the rack (and probably pump and reservoir), what do I use? Could the wrong fluid have taken out the rack?
This will be my seventh Volvo. It's just stuff like this that makes me hate Volvo.
