ok my parents car is shakeing real bad at speeds over 55. i have a few ideas on why it is doing this but im not sure.

we put real cheap tires on that my have been the cause.
about a week before the problem i got in an accident and had to slam the brakes real hard and i dont kno if that did anything.
and my final idea is that a rim is bent.

i have had the tires balanced and rotated and the alignment done so its not that.

does anyone kno b/c the shakeing is really anoying.

When they balanced the tires they should have checked the rims to see if they were bent or if the tires were out of round.That is most likely the problem the rim or the tires.

 

I agree, it definetly sounds like wheels or tires. You say that the car shakes, is it the car that is shaking or the steering wheel?
