I have a 2003 S60 that I just bought a week ago. I noticed that the text message window isn't working. The LED is lit in the back ground but no messages or driver info comes up. When I scroll through the wheel on the blinker, the manual says that every fifth turn of the wheel should take you back to your onboard info (MPG's, distance driven, etc) but nothing comes up. I can see that when I turn the wheel, the fitfh turn that backlight goes off, and as I continue turning it will come back on but when I push the read button. nothing happens. Any Ideas ?

your Dim is starting to go bad, my is doing the same and I had taken it to the an import specialist and they are going to be fixing it in the next several weeks either by trying to do a reboot and if that doesnt work then they will take it apart to look for loose connections...I hope this helps!!!

 

I am also having this issue . My car is a 03 and the DIm in these cars are know to go and if you remove the dash you can see a paper stick with the part # on it and they are interchangeable but will keep the mileage of the donor car..Read this post http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/for...hp?f=9&t=29323 and it will give you a better idea of what going on and what you can do about it...
