Tranny slip?
Hey out there,
Just bought a used 2016 T5 Inscription. Everything mostly hunky dory except the start/stop, probably an aux battery. I just noticed starting 2 days ago a minor slip going from first to second and even 2 to 3, not pushing engine, just sounds like a slight rpm increase before landing in the next gear. Doesnt appear in any gears above 3rd. Should I be concerned? As I say it's minor and probably just new owner nerves. Thanks for any input!

how many miles are on the car? Have you checked the transmission fluid level? Any signs of weeping or leaking (including around the cooler lines)? Should you be concerned? I think it would be prudent to do some baseline maintenance including checking the fluid level/color, inspecting for leaks and if you have say over 75K miles, consider a drain/fill to be sure there's clean fluid.
Generally speaking for any used car purchase, its a good idea to start with fresh fluids (ie radiator, brakes, transmission, power steering) if you don't have full service records that show the PO kept up with all recommended maintenance.
