volvo s60 steering noise
sometimes when i turn steering wheel i hear a rubbing noise,i don't know if it is just a steering wheel rubbing against something or this could be because of some air in the system.did anybody notice this in his volvo?thank's guys.
is the noise more of a rubbing noise coming from the front outside of the car or can you hear it in the car...if it is on hard turns some s60's tires will rub on the wheel wells...i have herd of newer Volvo's and Ford's steering wheels making noise inside on turns...dont know the cure for that one...but if is more of a whining noise from the power steering i would check your power steering fluid level and condition...you may need to flush the power steering system if that is the case
I am also just noticing a steering noise, but its more of a "clunk" when I turn the wheel hard to one side at slow speed. Almost sounds like a CV joint, but I wouldnt think the CV would be implicated in steering so much.
