Hi,
Whilst driving the other day the, SRS Airbag service urgent message appeared along with DSTC Service required message, and the seat belt warning chime started, today along with the previous messages and the seat belt chiming away all the time I am getting City safe service required and No rear seat belts used !

you need to go to a Volvo friendly shop to get the fault codes read - that will tell which component is at fault. I'd suspect an ABS (wheel) sensor for the City Safe/DSTC faults. the SRS could be related not sure how - but I'd also give a look around under the seats to see if any of the sensor connectors got wacked.

 

Im booked into get codes read tomorrow, im getting the feeling that its just one thing setting off all the warnings

 

hopefully you are right. its been my experience that a single failure can get you a happy meal of codes. Post up what your results are!

 

Diagnostics are comming back with "no communication"with the airbag module. The mechanic wants to strip down a few areas tomorrow to check all the wiring and connectors are ok, if so then it will be a new srs module.

 

srs module needed. Can I put in a second hand unit or do i need a new one. quoted over £700 for a new one !! AGGGHHHHHHH
