Default 3 months and 10,000 miles later

Well I got my S70 GLT little over 3 months ago. I use it as the daily driver. When I got it I was commuting almost 100 miles round trip every day. Got laid off, got new job, still commute 50 miles round trip every day.

I use the thing for day trips. Went into the heart of West By-gone (Virginia) 290 miles right there.

Got everything running tip top, still got a check engine light for a 3 way cat, which I have narrowed down to an EVAP leak somewhere. Anyway, plugs, air filter, and a PCV service is all it needed.

Before the major tuning up, it was getting about 28 average on the commute. After I get 33 average for highway. Back roads not so much at 26 (I get excited -- turns)

Speaking of turns, this thing leans bad. Compared to my Civic at least. Might be in part the tires Michelin Harmonys. (they suck BTW) Ant the Civic has Dunlops on it.

All in all Very impressed with this car. Well I got it because I worked on them and liked them. Should be good for many more miles of happy driving.

Next issue to address for me is making the exhaust a little louder.

Nice, glad it's footin' the bill for you.

A set of iPd sway bars might help limit body roll for you.

Not sure if the promotion is still going but I got a nice rebate on a set of Kumho Ecsta 4X tires. No complaints. Smooth, quiet, soft ride.

Those tires are very comfortable but stay away from their lower profile versions, the sidewalls get damaged easily.

Mine are 205/55/15. No problems with the sidewalls but I'm not sure I would go much smaller.

General Exclaim UHP

General makes good tires at reasonable prices, but like with all cheaper tires, they wear faster than most others.
