Best or Recommended Extended Warranty?
Can anyone recommend an extended service contract? I'm looking to buy a 2004 C70 in the very near future; 64k miles. I'm very interested in having the convertible top mechanical components covered; this looks like a disaster waiting to happen.
I can't purchase the contract through a dealer, since I'm buying the car from a private party. It would have to be bought directly from a warranty company and it seems like there are so many that aren't very reputable.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EasyCare would be my recommendation. They are usually easier to deal with and have pretty good coverages.
Wynns sucks, as do most of the other cheap ones or less reputable ones. I don't remember all the names, but if you have some you're looking at I might be able to remember if I've had a car with it.

most aftermarket warranties I've seen have only been for cars still on new car warranties, they typically extend the manufacture warranty by 1-4 years. once the car is off any original warranty, good luck.
convertibles are wear items, I seriously doubt any warranty covers repairs on them, most are strictly for drivetrain components. and yes, $$$$ to repair.
