Default Check Engine Light Codes pulled...

Hello. Just got my '98 S70 back last night from my trusted mechanic (at least he was trustworthy in the past) and he was supposed to just install for me a new radiator. Instead they broke the thermostat housing along with the job and when I picked it up and turned the key, I see that nice, bright orange "check engine" light illuminated. The engine also idled very funny and I drove it home like this.
Just went out to my local parts store and they pulled the following codes for me:

P0300: Random/Multiple Misfire detected.
P0302: Cylinder 2 misfire detected
P0303: Cylinder 3 misfire detected
P0304: Cylinder 4 misfire detected
P0172: Bank 1 system, too rich.
P0455: Evaporative emission system leak detected

If anyone can suggest my next move, I would greatly appreciate any assistance. Just wrote that trusted mechanic a check for over $600 and I don't have a good feeling about going back.

Thanx!

Ok, the 0300, 0302, 0304, and 0172, all pretty much will cause your rough idle and rough running. Look at the obvious stuff, plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, coil, etc, and see if you see anything amiss. Did the mechanic run it with the broken thermostat housing. If so, ask him if it overheated before he caught it.....Big issue if he didnt.

Also, did the parts store clear the codes for you and reset the light, or just read the codes? You need to get the codes cleared and the light reset, then drive it for a bit and see if the check engine light comes on again. If it does, post back and lets us know what codes came up. Finally, when is the last time the car was tuned up?
