I am currently in the process of a full suspension overhaul as many if the parts are very bad. I have successfully done almost everything except the rear delta links (I believe that's what there called anyway)
after hoards of research I bought the Volvo tool to aid in removing the bushing and went to remove them... but I haven't even gotten to whats supposed to be the bad part yet because I cant get the damn stud out. It will not budge after using a ball peen hamer, a 2 pound sledge hammer, a 10 pound sledge, heat, and penetrating oil. It still won't move. I'm starting to think this particular job may be outside my capabilities, but was hoping to see if anyone had any ideas or tips to try before I give up completely. This is the pesky little bugger Heres the nut i put on to stop me from destroying the threads... this is an old picture the nut is very destroyed now lol
I've had success with PB Blaster and patience :-) If you go the penetrating oil route, try wetting down the bolts a few days ahead of time and then repeat again before starting. PS I also do the same prior to bringing my cars in for a wheel alignment.
