Default Fuel pump check valve question.

my fuel pump check valve is bad on my 98 s70 is it located in the actual fuel pump or in the line? I was going to replace the pump itself with a walbro.

its starting on the second try so I am assuming it needs to prime on the first crank when its cold.
thank you.

Default Fuel pump

If in fact the rest pressure is not holding make sure you use an oe pump assembley from
Volvo or Bosch you will have to open fuel sender to put a non oe pump in the housing and at we have seen the aftermarkets not supply enough volume
FYI

Fuel pump check valve? Where did you get that information? I'm pretty sure the fuel system pressure is usually held by the fuel pressure regulator. The fuel filter may also prevent back flow.

Ck valve in fuel pump assembly but are you sure that's where you're losing pressure? Could be fuel pressure regulator or one or more leaky injectors.

You could pinch off the return line temporarily to see if it's the regulator.
