Default Heater hose change out

My lower hose gave up the ghost after a factory replacement 30K ago. How do I get the firewall end out?

I don't want to take too much apart that is not needed.

The quick release clamps come loose by depressing the two tabs, pushing the pipe inward until it clicks. With the tabs still being depressed, pull the hoses free.

You should buy new quick connect clips and new spacers and O rings and buy them as a set. There are two variations of the clips and the spacers and they don't play well together when they get mixed and matched.

So I don't have to tear the dash apart?

Nope, it is all done from the engine side of the firewall unless you are replacing the heater core. Even then you don't need to pull the dash to replace the core either.
