The left rear window in my 1998 s-70 quit working. The window is rolled down and it won't roll up or down from either switch. Could the motor go out just like that?? I tried to get the window pulled back up but I can't figure out how to remove the motor from that meatal panel behind the door panel. I would like help figuring out the motor not working problem and help with removeing the motor/or the metaal panel, just to roll up the window.

Have you tried using both the front and rear switches? When I first bought my 98 S70 the drivers window would go down but not up. So I took the window switch out and cleaned it up some, lots of lint and dust. Hooked it back up and put it in and it worked fine. Just be extremely careful with all the small parts in the switch.

 

The window switches are most likey bad or really dirty.
Try swapping the 2 rear switches and see if it rolls up.
