New 98 s70 GLT project

Hi Guys,
I just bought a 1998 S70, paid 1900.00 for it. My problems are: 1) the check engine light is on...I called the seller, and he says that that light comes on whenever it rains,
also Iim got some orange fluid (small) leaking from the front of car ...overnight.
Any advice would be appreciated.
