Baught a 98 S70 yesterday. So far I love it. Uber comfy leather everything. Rides epicly.

Curious about a roof rack set up. I've seen pictures of rails with cross beams. Really like em. My understanding is that those are wagon rails chopped and fit to the car. Am I right? I've seen some that look to be 2 bars side to side across the roof But can't seem to find any at a deal of a price, or am I just to cheap?

I've seen the chopped wagon rails before on the sedan. There is a guy on one of the Volvo forums who has done it multiple times mentioned here... http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/for...ic.php?t=65940

I think there is a way to get the cross bars mounted on the sedan without the rails too. I believe there are places for them in the top of the door jambs.

 

I found a set of wagon rails I'm gonna get for $30. I've seen the sedan rails but can't find a set at a decent deal. Everyone wants hundreds for em. If you know where a used set are sitting I'd like to have em.

 

Well, you probably aren't going to find those sedan rails around that weren't custom made. Because of that, they will certainly be expensive.
Your best bet if you don't get the $30 ones is to get some at the junkyard.
