Default PCV System

I am new to the Volvo world.... I just picked up an S70 that seems to release oil vapor smells from the engine compartment into the cabin. I have seen some mention of the PCV system. The car has 159,000 miles. Is this something that I should change as a matter of maintenance? Is this the main cause of the oil smell? Who is the best supplier for the kit? Any write-ups on how to do this? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Change your cabin air filter with one with carbon in it:

Change the PCV system. There is a good write-up in the DIY thread of the 850 section. Also a great write-up on www.MatthewsVolvoSite.com, 850 section, tinned topic. It is normal maintenance and should be replaced (serviced) every 60,000 per Volvo.

When that system is clogged, it will blow oil out everywhere. Where ever you order the kit from, make sure you tell them that you only want Volvo hoses and parts.
