Default PCV system...replace or clean?

I have a 99 S70, non-turbo, 149K milkes. About six months ago noticed oil leaking in the front of engine above the oil filter. Cleaned up the engine to pin point the leak but never saw any more oil. Suspected PCV system leak. Now, same thing, oil leak from same place but only a one time deal. Is it time to replace the PCV system?...or is a good cleaning worth the time and effort? I have never done this before but consider myself a fairly good shade tree mechanic and from what I have read it looks like it is doable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

I would just replace it if you go that far. You will have everything all apart I would just do new parts to make sure all is good.

I would buy the vent box, intake gasket, the small hose with the metal sleeve. The rest should be fine. You will need clamps but my list is at work and I am not sure when I will be back there.
