Can I reroute my serpentine belt without getting a new ac compressor? I'm aware that I will not have ac but is there any downsides to doing this or not really?

 

If you can find the size and physically get it on there, it'll be okay. It's a waste of time so long as the compressor pulley bearing is good, and so it doesn't get talked about much. If the compressor is locked up and it still turns on, you can just unplug the clutch.

 

I was pondering: some Wrangler JK online retailers say "with cooling". Does it intend that there are two distinct serpentine belts? Will that one work on the off chance that a Wrangler JK doesn't have A/C?
