S70 a/c stopped blowing cold
Help.. a few days ago everything was fine.. then one day I heard some clicking.. now today it's over 90.. I have two kids in the car (one's a baby) and it is still blowing, and there's a hint of cool.. but just a hint.. any ideas? Could it need freon? I have had the car (1998) since 2003 w/o any ac problems... thanks, T

So to further clarify my questions.. I was thinking of trying freon first (as it seems cheapest) and I noticed on other posts that clicking seemed to possibly correlate w/low freon? Anyone know how to do this, or what type of freon the 1998 S70 uses? Thanks again for any help

RE: S70 a/c stopped blowing cold
yeah, I would buy one with a gauge on it, they cost a little more but its worth it. They are not considered accurate, but it can keep u from damaging system. As for the job, turn car on, set a/c to max cool setting, attach refrigerent can to the Low side of a/c circuit. (there is a service port) Car should suck down majority of it, might have to shake can a little though. Im not sure exact location of service port, I can go look, but tech probably knows though. GL2U
