Sirius Radio Question
Has anyone had any experience putting Sirius radio in their S70? I went to Circuit City and asked about it, and they told me no built-in system is compatible with the preamp that's in the car, requiring a bypass of it. I'm of the opinion that it would sound like crap without that. Any suggestions/comments?

RE: Sirius Radio Question
You may want to hook up your satrad by an "auxiliary input adapter." This will feed your satrad audio (or mp3, ipod, etc) via headphone jack in the cd changer connection of you Volvo car stereo.
You will see CD 01-00-00 (the cd changer display) when you're listening to satrad. I haven done this on a Volvo, but have done it on my past cars -a Civic, Wrangler, and a Tacoma and it seems to be the best way to preserve audio quality.
Check out logjamelectonics.com and check out the "auxiliary input converters" for Volvos. Not sure if these will work though, please verify because I only briefly looked it over.

RE: Sirius Radio Question
As I recall, the S70 my father-in-law has also has only cassette, but has a button for the CD changer. If you have the radio with the CD changer option, it should work. Yes. there is a connector on the back of the stereo. If you have the factory Volvo CD changer option installed, obviously this aux input adapter won't work for you since the connector is being used. Since I'm speaking from experience and not concrete Volvo specific know-how, please confirm before purchasing.
