i am experiencing a loud noise that seems to be coming from my dash, window or hood areas. the noise sounds almost like you were driving down the road and rock hit your window and made a cracking sound. this has been happening for about 2 yrs now, very infrequent in the past now sometimes several times a day. sometimes i am moving and sometimes i can be sitting still at a light or in my driveway, i know nothing is hitting the car, it is quite loud. any ideas??

 

Might be broken dash mounting tabs.
Does the dash seem to move alot?

 

we did recently notice that the storage area under the glove box seems to not be hooked in tightly, it rattles a lot, so maybe you are on to something tech.

 

Carefully use the little vent hole on the end of the dash and pull and push on the dash. See if it makes noise and moves.
