Got in my car this morning and started to drive to work and the car wont aceelerate over 25 MPH. It seems like it might be a transmission problem. Anyone have this issue before????

 

Is the up arrow flashing?

 

No it wasnt

 

It might be tranny or motor related. But usually if it is tranny related the arrow will flash.

 

I had a similar problem with my 93 850 glt; it would stay in a low gear and not want to shift out - did this until the car was thoroughly warmed up about 10+ minutes and turned out it too was the start of serious problems with that car. (thought it was just a trans. fluid leak at first and yes this was th cas, but only masking bigger problems) looked around in some classified and found a 98 s70 for 5k with 94,000. i was thankful for sure.

make sure you check the trans fluid and make sure the seals are not cracked and leaking.

 

I had this issue in a 92 Ford Taurus, which ended with replacing the transmission. Now since its a completly different vehicle, things may be different for you.
