Default turbo bypass

Can turbo in s70 be bypassed so that it does not need any coolant or oil.Oil is mixing with coolant in turbo but coolant is not in oil.

NO. Are you sure you don't have a bad head gasket?

do you mean that your turbo is getting hand rebuilt? or that your entire engine has to be rebuilt?

I only ask because I recently purchased a 98 T5 and the mechanic I go to said that the turbo was leaking, however it seems more like a weep than a leak.

I'm somewhat curious to the severity of this leak/weep. The turbo works great, no noise when it kicks on...the oil level is still perfect after 900 miles, and it leaves no spots on the ground.

The weep/leak is the 1st sign of failure. From all I have read, it goes from a weep to leak, to smoking, then to failure. I would plan on doing something to it within 5k. Someone else maybe can give us more input on life expectancy.
