Default 2000 s80 t6 oil leak

Got an oil leak coming from in front of the oil pan. Just took it to the shop a couple of weeks and they thought it was coming from around the oil filter. They changed the oil etc. Still got that same oil leak. Going to check it out this week myself is there anything I should look for? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Look for front cam seals leaking or vent box.

If it is running down from the front side of the engine, I would say the vent box seals or the dipstick seal-ring.
The dipstick is not to hard to do but the vent box is hard to get to.
Depending on how diy you are, you may want to have a shop do the vent box.

Thanks for the info. Can I see the vent box without having to remove anything.

Did not get a chance to look into over the holidays, but did take it back to the volvo shop today. Called me back later today and they want to keep it until tomorrow. He believes the oil filter housing might have a crack in it is this possible.

It is the vent box. What other parts should be repalced while replacing the vent box.

I would replace the vent box, Hoses, make sure you have good clamps. The screw clamps do work all that well on the hose that goes to the block. Make sure you buy a new intake gasket as well.
