Thanks guys... front rotors are being replaced with brembos and akebono ceramic pads. Hub/bearing assemblies by ***. Parts from FCP Groton.

 

Time check. Start +1.5 hours. Rotors, pads, hubs are off. Going to take a quick break for a drink and start cleaning parts for reassembly.

 

I spend too much time cleaning parts... need to put the wheels on and lower and it is done.

 

Do any of you have an opinion about which rotors are better, the zimmerman or the brembo? Good work about the job, I guess better to take the time cleaning than to have to take everything back down some other time...

Normally, how many miles do you get on a set of the full organic ceramic pads for the s80...

 

Brembo is oem for a lot of vehicles; however, I have zimmermans on my other car. They are drilled. The price difference between the brembos and zimmermans did it for me pretty much for the same rotor. As far as the pads go, this will be my first go on the ceramics.

Took the car for a test drive after I got cleaned up. So much nicer of a ride more more smoothe on the ride and the braking now. My wife will be pleased...

Hardly a daunting task a couple of things that could get you though...
