I've got an 02 s80 T6. I want a K&N Air filter (they are on sale right now where I live). Unfortunately (forgive me, I'm a newbie), I can't figure out the engine size. Everything I look at (manual, internet) tells me it's a 2.9 litre engine. Yet, when I'm on the K&N website, there is talk of a 2.8 litre engine, yet neither mentions the turbochargers. The following are the K&N part numbers:

33-2269 for the 2.8
33-2152 for the 2.9

I was under the impression that the T6 has the 2.9 litre engine.

The reason I'm asking is that I have to special order the filter (it's not in stock) and it's not returnable.

Which one do I use?
Help anybody?

 

Just had a look and I think you are right. 2002 S80 t6 W/2.9 Twin Turbo, 272 hp@5200, your ride must fly. Good luck finding K&N.

I looked at my air filter (would have done it before, but wife had the car), then cross-referenced it with K&N application website. It's K&N part number 33-2152, for the 2.9 litre.

It's off to the store I go.
