key FOB problem fix
2000 S80 T6
Had a problem with key FOB. Would stop working (none of buttons would work), I take it apart, works for a day or two then stops again. New battery did not help.
Tried bending the metal clip which goes around the battery to make better contact with the circuit board but it did not help.
Problem I found was battery was not making good contact with the circuit board. I placed a small piece of foam between the battery and the rear plastic cover to hold the battery against the circuit board. No problem for past 2 weeks.
