Non Start S80
Hi Guys
I have a 2004 S80 2.4 petrol auto. I had it parked up for about 3 months and went to start it and the battery was dead so I replaced it with a new one but now I have a problem where the car wont start.
I have ignition lights and every thing else works including central locking windows seats everything but the car wont turn over and start. I am not getting a signal at the starter when I test it while turning the key.I have no fault codes at all I use Snapon scan tool latest version and I have tested the 2 keys for signal and all is fine.
I have checked all connections at the Cem under the steering colum and all tight with no sign of corrosion or water damage. I have checked the starter motor signal wire for corrosion also and all clean. I have crossed the starter solenoid engine spins over but no start. Vehicle is well serviced and looked after I have it 4 years with only 65000 miles on the clock and is absolutely spotless. It was my everyday driver. It now sits in my driveway for a year and I would love to get it back on the road.
I am a technician I know my way around cars I have 30 years experience with cars etc but this baffles me. Car never gave any problems Local Volvo Dealer couldnt shine any light on it they had it for 2 weeks and everything seems fine. They didn't charge me thank god . I know them well
Any help would be great Im based in Dublin if any techies would like a go at it
