Default oil filter location

Getting ready to change the oil for the first time at 34k (we bought it at 30k), on our 09' S80 3.2. Does anyone know where the oil filter is located? there is a oil filter looking housing on the upper front left of the engine bay, under the upper engine mount that points up? or is the filetr underneath like "normal". I have not had the car on the lift yet. Thanks

Normally you would find it under the engine block.. Will look like a grey plastic oil filter shaped case...
Its not your typical metal throw away filter, it usually takes filter inserts so you have to remove the filter housing and change the filter then replace.. Extra pain in the **** if you ask me, they could have just had it like everyone else...

Default found it!

It is on the top, upside down, by the front of the motor, not underneath like the XC. Something tells me the first time will be messy...

Hold a rag under it to catch what spills.
