Rear doors issues volvo s80 2000
Hi Guys
I've just bought a volvo s80 2000 and it has one very annoying issue. I'm very new in cars, it's my second car only. I've read the forum and seems this is a quite common issue.
So the issue is that something is wrong with the central locking.
I can open the front doors but the volvo keyring or from the driver's switch on the driver's door but the back doors remain open all the time, they don't react at all, unless I manually press the switches down for locking or puling the handle up for unlocking them.
I took the car to the vovlo mecanics, so here is what they report:
removed rear door trims to check and power actuators - none there
checked back to the rear control module and found there is no power coming from the module
checked relays and fuses all ok
further checked wiring to possibly be the cause but is all fine
fault within the rear control module
So my questions are: what is a rear control module?, where is it located in the car and is it really worth to fully replace it, how the mechanic suggests?
Thank you so much and sorry for the silly questions i'm very new in it.

Sasha Zaykov,
Do not waste time with dealer, try to find some good electrician with engineering knowledge from any reputed workshop. Who spend good time on it to diagnose.
If you do not know how the fuses or relays works, you better not to experiment.
But do discuss with the guy why it happens. Cheers!
