Question Shaking when acc. & on rougher roads

I got a 99 S80 T6 and once im doin about 50+ mph and accelerate slowly up to 60-65 in shakes terribly but goes away if i let off the gas. it also shakes by just hitting a little bump in the road and is terrible on rough roads. could this be a CV shaft, tie rod, sway bar, etc. i just replaced a bad a wheel hub so i know that wasn't the issue

mudvayne I was having somewhat the same problem as you. I replaced both inner and outer tierods and it helped somewhat. I then replaced my lower control arm bushings and it made a huge difference. Also check your rims and make sure they are not bent. I had a benz that would suffer severe vibration from 45-70mph and I had a bent rim once it was replaced the whole problem stopped. Good luck with resolving your issue

to see if it is tire stuff you can rotate them to the back and it should change ur issue. You can also jack up the front end and check the steering and suspension components for play by moving them around side to side and in and out and up and down. cv shafts will change the vibration when you go over gradual hills when the vibration is happening like if the vibration is happening and you go over a small ish hill and you can feel it change with the suspension movement it is most likely cv shafts but i would make sure all of your front end stuff is tight before worrying with cv shafts.

i know its not my tires or rims cuz i just got brand new KMCs put on with new rubber and it shook b4 that as well. think ill try the tie rod & bushing replacement 1st since thats a some what cheap and easy deal..if all else fails than im guessing it's my cv shaft (which i hope it aint)

if your steering is still tight then you most likely culprit could be your control arm bushings. they fail a lot in these cars.
