TPS system driving me nuts - how to diagnose/fix?
The TPS indicator on the dash of my 2016 S80 cannot be turned off. I have inflated and check the air pressure in the tires and have verified that they are at the correct pressure and that pressure has been maintained over many weeks, e.g. no air leaks. I've driven the 20 MPH + for long distances, e.g. 300 miles and the indicator light is still on.
I've checked the manual and I have not found a section on how to manually reset the TPS system, only the phrase that driving it above 20 mph for 10+ miles the system will relearn the new pressure and turn off the indicator if the tires are at the recommended PSI range. Bottom line: the auto relearn procedure does not work.
Is there a device to read the radio signal from the TPS (to verify its reading)?
Will connecting a OBD2 scanner allow me to check/reset the TPS system? (some OBD2 units will simply display the factory reset procedure....I want to know if there a way to use the scanner to reset the bits in the ECU - my bluedriver scanner will only display the procedure....
Thanks
J

Do you have this option in your infotainment center?
- Press the MY CAR key in the center con-
sole control panel and select Settings,
Car settings, Tire pressure.
- Press OK/MENU, select Calibrate tire
pressure and press OK/MENU again.

2. No, obd tools don't have that capability (at least I've never heard or seen one that did)
What country are you in? US or Canada? (the owners manual found at https://volvo.custhelp.com/app/manua...2016/model/S80 lists different solutions depending on US or Canada - looks like Canada might use indirect sensors where a low tire pressure is detected by the ABS sensors and US uses direct sensors - with a transponder in each tire. ) Direct sensors are "reset" by driving, indirect by pushing buttons on menus.
Exactly what message did you get - tire pressure low or tire pressure system service required?
