My inside mirror is broken, doesn't dim. I was at the dealer yesterday to take care of the steering wheel control module and they said that these mirrors can't be fixed, they just need to be replaced for only $780!! Does anyone know if the computer needs to be reprogrammed after its replaced? There's one on ebay from an xc70 that looks the same...

yah when they replaced mine under warranty, they charged me 40-45$ to download the programmin for it, my warranty doesnt cover any programming....

 

mine didnt dim but after i disconnected battery it magically works a bit. hold your finger over port on rear while engine on in daylight to test
