Broke a radiator hose neck. Any fix?
Ok so I was replacing the radiator hose on the driver's side coming from the thermostat. Puting the hose in the neck and it just snapped off clean, does anyone know a way to fix this?
I have seen someone take a butane torch and a zip tie and plastic sauter part of the radiator together, anyone heard of this?

Is that on the radiator or hose on the t-stat housing? If it's the radiator, count your blessings and get a new radiator. That thing was ready to blow and you found it where you could deal with it instead of on the road somewhere.
Wow, that looks so great!Perhaps you have had changed the concept not long ago? Any fix for a broken neck...to fix it the correct way, you are right...replace it. I just had to replace the radiator on my S90. I thought this was going to be expensive, but located a new one at a local shop so the bill was only $155.00! It was an exact fix and only took me a few hours to do.(Ya, I'm slow) Just about all radiators have plastic end caps, so don't over tighten or stress the fittings. Going into another hot Nevada summer I will be glad I did the replacement rather than getting caught on the road somewhere!
