Old saying - if it aint broke don't fix it
Got a 2004.5 S40 with 29K original miles. No kidding!!! All I've done is change oil,filters, tires, and brake pads. Only gets driven around town. Anything else I should check on.

Nice! How much did you spend on it?
You can always get a turkey baster and check how dirty the fluids are: brake fluid and coolant. My Volvo Mechanic said that if you never open the power steering, it will not get contaminated, and usually never needs replacing.
