Default Driveline slip when cold (Automatic Trans, S90)

Anyone experience slippage with very cold tranny?

Feels like the torque converter is slipping; exhibits the same problem in forward or reverse gears; no problem after a little bit of warm up.

Maybe a stickly valve in the valve body? Any ideas?

Thanks.

I would have the fluid level checked.

Fluid indicates that level is within specification.

The problem is sporadic; did not suspect fluid level.

Flush the transmission fluid and change the filter. Check to see if water from the radiator is entering into the transmission cooler lines, the seals can fail and allow coolant into the transmission. The transmission is made by Aiken and is the same one used by Lexus, it is a very solid unit and almost indestructible.
