I have a 98 v90 that the idle air system intermittently illuminates the check engine lite. idle air motors have been changed and wiring has been meged out. nothing out of order there. Sometimes is will go only for 1 day and other times it will go for 3 or 4 weeks. When it malfunctions, it does appear to go to a fast idle for a second or so,which leads me to believe a sticking motor but I can not believe 4 motors are doing the same thing and work correctly on other vehicles. The only other thing I can think of is computer. Any thoughts ?

 

I was having the same issue with my last 960. I believe it was my ignition switch which was bad.
