Default Volvo S90 Front Bumper Cover Removal

Hi everyone and thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

I just purchased a 1997 S90 for my daughter, I managed to locate a low miles, rust free example that seems to drive exceptionally well. I have always been a Volvo fan, and owned a 240 and a 760 Turbo when I was still a resident of the UK. The 760 remains one of my favorite cars I ever owned.

Anyway, one issue I have is that at some time the front bumper side clip on the passenger side has come away from the retainer, and the PO, rather than fix it, by pulling the bumper cover and reinserting the guide, simply used two small screws to attach the bumper cover to the inner fender. So I want to fix this properly, but am having a hard time finding any diagrams or instructions on how to pull the front bumper cover forward enough to allow me to get this fixed. Can anyone help?

Thanks again!!

AJ

OK, figured it out and it really couldn't be easier.

Three bolts for the core support on each side, remove plastic undertray (or just separate from lower spoiler at the front), undo the headlight washer arms and remove them, pull bumper off.

Easy..

If you ever need a diagram for parts/connections try using the parts sheets at volvopartswarehouse.com - they are a dealer/mail order and put the parts sheets online which are great to find both designs and odd part numbers.

Thank you for the tip. I had seen the diagram, my confusion was in understanding that the cover was clipped to the core support. Once I realized that was what was holding the cover on it was easy to see how to remove it..
