So I have a 2010 V50 R Design and the timing belt has snapped on my engine completely destroying it. To widen my search for a new engine I was wondering 1) If there is a website or something that states what swaps are possible and 2) Does it have to be a like for like swap?

The reason I am asking this is that I have a 1.6 D2 Turbo Diesel 6 Speed D4162T engine however I have found another V50 that is still running but bad rear end damage that has a 2litre Turbo Diesel 6 Speed D4204T engine.

Would this be compatible with my car?
