Has anyone had a transmission problem with a V50? Only on long rides at highway speeds, there will suddenly be a message that says "transmission service urgent" and then the check engine light will go on. The car drives perfectly fine until you go off the highway, when it doesn't downshift. When you stop the car and start it again, it is fine, but the check engine light stays on for a while. The transmission message is gone and it drives perfectly again. The dealer can't fix it - says to get a new transmission, but is it worth it with a car with 150,000 miles?? Has anyone had anything similar? And how many miles do you think the V50 will go? My 850 went 260,000 without a problem, but the quality seems to have declined radically in the V50.
